Welcome to Our New Director of Growth: Jordan Betteridge
Prominence has experienced a mixed COVID-19 period, with some agency clients choosing to minimise marketing spend and others doubling down on their efforts. Regardless of these strategic differences, it is clear that as we return to some degree of normality, the level of competition within the sector is going to increase as many recruiters take the opportunity to go it alone.
The recruitment marketing business has already observed the beginnings of this trend, with increasingly frequent enquiries from new recruitment agencies that are prioritising getting their brands correctly positioned before going to market.
To address this new normal, Prominence has adjusted its delivery structure, adding additional services targeted specifically towards start-up recruiters as well as several stand-alone services such as Brand Identity & Design and Digital Advertising. In addition, the business will shortly welcome Jordan Betteridge as Director of Growth, based out of the Sydney office.
A seasoned business leader, Betteridge’s career has included roles as Head of Client Relations & Digital Strategy at JXT and Founder/Director of Australia & New Zealand at Volcanic, making him uniquely placed to support agencies in harnessing exceptional marketing results.
Having already collaborated with the team for some time, Betteridge revealed that he and Chris South, Managing Director of Prominence, had discussed what it would mean to work closer together on several occasions. “Taking on a key role that enables me to not only develop business in all areas but also back this up with heavy involvement in the delivery and overall business strategy was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up,” said Betteridge.
“With marketing in full swing across the industry and many organisations revisiting their strategies or starting from scratch, I’m thrilled to be at the helm of assisting businesses of all sizes to realise their opportunities and ultimately grow as organisations.”
South commented that “Jordan adds a great new dynamic to Prominence and will be vital as we look to double down on our commitment to service and results for clients throughout APAC. Our thanks to the Volcanic/Access team who have supported this decision, we look forward to continuing to work together.”
These changes, along with welcoming back Marketing Strategy Manager Amber Loach from an extended sabbatical to the newly formed UK business, add significant expertise to what is already a strong senior leadership team.
